Richard Summons
Biography
Rick Summons creates
fascinating works of art, both naturalistic, surrealistic, and
abstract in bronze, aluminum, stainless steel, laser cut steel,
gypsum cements, stoneware, porcelain, bonded metals and stone.
He is known and collected
nationally and internationally for his bas reliefs available in
bronze, bonded metals and stone, and as ceramic tiles.
Rick’s work in lost wax bronze
has centered around an ongoing theme called “ Meadowsongs “ which
consists of playful naturalistic- surrealistic compositions of
turtles, toads, koi, beetles, etc. The modeling is done directly in
wax, promoting exceptional attention to detail. Converted into
bronze and presented on marble and/ or granite, they become
unduplicated and in duplicable originals.
